Privacy Policy
We collect what we need to run Focus and help you hit your goals. We never sell your data, and your health data is never used for advertising.
Who we are
Focus | Enfocate Ya is operated by Focus, LLC ("Focus", "we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. It applies to the iPhone app, the Apple Watch app, widgets and focusmode.com. Contact: support@focusmode.com.
What you give us
Account details (name, email, username, profile photo, invite code), your fitness profile (goal, experience, height, weight, date of birth, sex for calorie math), and what you log: workouts, runs, meals, water, weigh-ins, body measurements, body scans, progress photos, notes, Focus 75 check-ins and support messages. If you buy from the Shop we also receive your shipping address and order details.
Apple Health
With your permission, Focus reads workouts, steps, heart rate, sleep, active energy and body metrics from Apple Health and writes the workouts and runs you finish back to it. Health data is used only to show your progress and power features you turn on, such as your battery. It is never used for advertising or marketing, never sold, and never shared with third parties for their own use. You can turn access off anytime in the Health app.
Location on runs
When you record an outdoor run, and only with your permission, Focus uses your location while the run is active to map your route, measure distance and pace. Routes are saved to your account and are private unless you download and share a run card yourself.
Camera, photos and body scans
The camera and photo library are used only when you take or choose a photo: a body scan, a progress photo, a meal, a run card or your profile picture. Body scans are stored in a private, owner-only storage area and are only visible to you; you can lock them behind Face ID and delete them anytime.
On-device AI
AI recipes and photo food scan run on your iPhone with Apple's on-device models. The meal photo is not sent to us or to any AI company. Calories and macros come from the Focus food database.
Payments
Focus Pro is billed by Apple; we receive confirmation of your subscription status, not your card details. Shop orders are processed by Stripe (or Apple Pay); we receive the order and payment status, not your full card number.
Device and usage data
Device type, OS and app version, language, time zone, push token, crash reports (through Sentry) and first-party analytics about which features are used. We do not use advertising identifiers and do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
How we use data
To run your account, programs and challenges, calculate your battery, streaks and progress, personalize workouts and nutrition, grant achievements and invite rewards, process orders, send the notifications and emails you allow, answer support requests, keep the community safe, fix bugs and improve Focus.
Notifications
We send push notifications about your training, runs, nutrition, battery, challenges, orders and support, at most 4 non-essential ones a day and never during quiet hours (by default 9:30 pm to 6:30 am). Choose categories in Settings or turn them off in iOS Settings.
Retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. Delete your account anytime in Settings: we delete or anonymize your personal data, including scans and photos, within 30 days, except records we must keep by law, such as orders and tax information.
Your rights
You can view and edit your profile, delete your account and data in Settings, ask us by email for a copy of your data, and change permissions at any time. Depending on where you live (for example California under the CCPA/CPRA, the European Union and UK under the GDPR, or Mexico under the LFPDPPP and its ARCO rights) you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port your data, to object to or limit some uses, and to withdraw consent. Email support@focusmode.com to make a request; we will not discriminate against you for using these rights. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
International transfers and security
Focus is based in the United States and our providers may process data in the US and other countries, with appropriate safeguards. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest and access is restricted by account-level security rules. No system is perfectly secure, so use a strong password and tell us if you notice anything unusual.
Children and changes
Focus is not intended for anyone under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data; if you believe a child has an account, contact us and we will delete it. We will update this policy as Focus changes and tell you in the app about significant changes. Last updated October 17, 2026.
